The second part of the collection includes selected excerpts from two popular Hindi and Urdu texts (Bahishti Jewellery and Nari Shiksha) that religiously guide womens conduct. These didactic texts reinforce gendered traditions regarding the conduct and behavior of Hindu and Muslim women.
