He also defeated the Sultans of Mandalgarh, Malwa and Gujarat. Out of the 84 forts protecting Mewar, 32 were built by Kumbha. The Kumbhalgarh Fort was built by Maharana Kumbha. It is the tallest fort in Rajasthan. After the Malwa victory, Maharana Kumbha built a 121 feet high, nine-storey Vijay Stambh in Chittor.
