{"product_id":"mere-priya","title":"Mere Priya","description":"\u003cp\u003eWhen Raza Sahib moved to Delhi in late 2010 to spend the final phase of his life, he brought with him a large collection of books, catalogues, and other documents. The Raza Archives is being created by collecting and organizing all this material. Among the documents we received were numerous letters from Razas artist friends, including Maqbool Fida Husain, Francis Newton Souza, K.H. Ara, Ramkumar, Krishna Khanna, and Tyeb Mehta. Their correspondence covers a wide range of personal, artistic, and social topics, and reading them reveals many facets of a prominent artists struggle. It also sheds light on the environment, the friends, and their relationships that played a role in Razas development as a person and artist. It also serves as a kind of informal record that reveals how some of our art luminaries perceived their times, their curiosities and anxieties, and how a developing aesthetic sense was taking shape. The intention is to publish this correspondence in a series of books. The first book in this series is about the correspondence between Raza and Krishna Khanna. Fortunately, they both preserved each others letters. This correspondence between two eminent artists is rare, and we are pleased to publish it in Hindi translation.
