About the Book: Modern Art Movements is a book on Western art movements that modernized world art, spanning approximately six hundred years of art history, from 1400 to 1965. Organized in two sections, the first section, Western Art Movements, examines the origins, trends, and stylistic characteristics of all art movements, from the Renaissance to the Surrealist movement. It also evaluates the contributions of all the representative artists involved in these movements, from Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo to Van Gogh, Frida Kahlo, Picasso, and Dali, whose efforts led to the globalization and modernization of art.
