He was the pride of the Bhrigu clan, whose glory extended not only to the countless ashrams located in sacred rivers and oceans, mountains and dense forests, but also to the entire universe, from Lord Vishnus chest to the Bhrigu peak in the Himalayas. Parashurama is the strongest voice of public resistance against the wickedness of arrogant power. Eons before the birth of todays so-called democracies, he was the founder of effective public control over the system. Had Indian consciousness not been enslaved by European dominance, the saga of human struggle for freedom, equality, fraternity, and justice would have begun with Parashurama, not with the so-called French Revolution. He was not a mere warrior. By entrusting ordinary people with both scriptures and weapons, he empowered them to achieve self-prosperity and salvation. The sacred purpose of this work is that his remarkable life story may inspire our era to move from self-welfare to universal well-being and from anarchy to independence.
