Description
In this book, we honor the luminous legacy of Lal Padmadhar Singh, an unwavering patriot whose sacrifice resonates throughout history, enriching our nations pursuit of independence. Born on August 14, 1914, in Kripalpur, Satna district (Madhya Pradesh) he confronted adversity early on, even enduring imprisonment for a bold act against his school principal. Tragically, his mothers spiritual journey in Prayag deepened Padmadhars commitment.Driven by an enduring love for his motherland, he made a solemn vow not to marry until India achieved freedom, believing that raising children in servitude would dishonor the nation. On August 12, 1942, while leading a student rally, Padmadhar met his heroic end, struck down by police bullets.Ramesh Pratap Singh Jakhis evocative prose and poetry capture the essence of Padmadhars life, ensuring his memory endures. Sumitra Nandan Pant paid tribute to Padmadhars selfless sacrifice in Prayag on March 11, 1958, affirming that the bedrock of freedom is built upon acts of self-sacrifice.Lal Padmadhar Singhs name stands eternally engraved in the annals of Indias struggle for independence, an enduring symbol of unwavering dedication to the cause of liberty.
