The Atharva Veda is the central text of the knowledge, action, and worship propounded by Indian spiritual wisdom. It is the fourth of the four Vedas. Ayurveda is its Upveda. The main subject of the Atharva Veda is knowledge of the self and the Supreme Being. By studying it, humans can gain knowledge of their inherent powers, develop them, and utilize them to achieve both material and spiritual progress. Through this study, Maharishi Atharva, the author of the Atharva Veda, describes the soul, the Supreme Being, the universe, and twenty-one substances pervading the universe. There are measures to increase intelligence, protection of semen, increase in means of wealth, increase in mutual cooperation, removal of causes of downfall, rituals like Garbhadhan, Mundan, Antyeshti etc., measures for victory and peace in the assembly, measures to bring rain on time, increase in trade in the country and abroad, liberation from debts, prevention of witchcraft, Yagya process, attraction and destruction of enemy army, prevention of evil deeds, duties of the king etc., many more and everything is there in Atharvaveda.
