Description
I was a 17-year-old airman, beginning my journey as a young airman, grappling with the profound and often paradoxical concepts of war and life. This book, born of the realization of sleepless nights and days, is an attempt to find meaning in the labyrinth of my mind through my experiences and thoughts. Essentially, these writings are about my airmanship, military procedures, parades, shooting ranges, the failed love stories of army youths that I have witnessed or imagined. My early days in the military were lived with a sense of pride and duty, but as the harsh realities of war revealed themselves, I found myself questioning the very essence of my existence. The brutal beauty of war, the friendships forged in conflict, and the haunting silence that followed each mission became a torment to my soul.Through these pages, I share not only my poetry, but also my inner battles - battles that were often more terrifying than the battles on the ground. As I navigated the complex landscape of duty and humanity, I found solace in writing, allowing my pen to speak to the questions that rested in my heart. In publishing my book, I hope that this book can be a beacon for those who serve their country, who seek to understand the true value of war and the beauty of the struggles of life.
