Tatya Tope was a great General of the revolt of 1857. Apart from being a skilful Maratha General, he was also an expert in guerrilla warfare adopted by Shivaji Maharaj In the first centur y before Christ the Saka kings were prominent in western India. They were brave warriors. Their growing supremacy was checked by the Gupta King Chandragupta Vikramaditya. At the same time he had protected the nation against the foreign in vasions.

Veer Shivaji was born on April 16; 1627 in Shivneri Durg. His father was Shahji Bhonsle and his mother was Jija Bai.

During that time in India; there was the rule of Muslim Emperors. Hindu warriors were shedding the blood of their own kith and kin and were engaged in pleasing the Muslim kings. Hindu blood was shed and Muslims ruled over India.

Mangal Pandey is the name of one such lion amongst men; who roared just once to carve an immortal niche in history. He was the brave soldier to give a clarion call in the 1857 revolution.

Maharana Pratap was born in May 1540 in Udaipur. His father; Rana Udai Singh; was the king of Kumbhalner; which is also known as Kumbhalgarh.

A Historians have honoured a ver y few emperors with the title of the Great. Amongst the Indian emperors; there have been only two personalities honoured with this epithet. Ashoka; the Great holds the first position and Akbar the great holds the second position.

Chandragupta Maurya; the founder of Maurya dynasty ; was the first emperor in the Indian history who is behind the political; economic and cultural unification of our country . He was born in 340 BCE.
