Amidst all the slogans of commercialism, the Indian media must understand that it is a powerful pillar of democracy and a carrier of national values and traditions. It is also bound by a deep sense of responsibility for direction. The ideological nature of Indian mediawhether electronic or printis shaped by the objective of maintaining national equality, integrity, and sovereignty, as well as instilling a positive and inspiring cultural, political, and economic perspective among the people of the country. Their goal is also to accelerate social development through education and literacy. Their objectives also include creating awareness, providing information, and raising the standard of living of the public at large. The process of globalization has widened the gap between media theory and practice. Amidst the challenges posed by commercialism, the Indian media must regain its luster.
