Description
Born on August 8, 1983, into a humble family in Sant Kabir Nagar (Uttar Pradesh), Irshad Khan Sikandar has, in a short time, established a strong presence in the literary and cultural landscapes of Urdu, Hindi, and Bhojpuri. Besides being a top-notch poet, playwright, and short story writer, his personality possesses many other artistic nuances. Chand Ke Sirhane Laaton is his latest collection of ghazals. Previously, two ghazal collections, Aansuon Ka Tarjuma and Dusra Ishq, and two plays, Jaun Elia Ka Jin and Amiran Umrao Ada, have been published. Of these, Aansuon Ka Tarjuma was awarded the International Shivna Poetry Award in 2020, and Jaun Elia Ka Jin was awarded the Swayam Prakash Smriti Samman in 2024. Irshads poetry is a unique blend of tradition and modernity. His simple, straightforward dialogue style sometimes depicts various aspects of love, separation, and philosophy, and sometimes stares time in the eye and warns. Dont force me to act. If I get into character, it will be a disaster.
