Description
James Compton Burnett was born on July 10, 1840, and died on April 2, 1901. He attended medical school in Vienna, Austria in 1865. In 1876, he took his MD degree. He is a converted homeopath. When advised not to go into homeopathy, Burnett replied that he could not buy worldly honor at the cost of his conscience. Burnett was one of the first to speak about illness triggered by vaccines. This is discussed in his book, Vaccinosis, published in 1884. He introduced many nosodes including Bacillinum. Being a prodigious writer, he published over twenty books in his lifetime. His book, Fifty Reasons for Being a Homoeopath(1888), is of particular note for beginners.A cataract is an opacity that develops in the crystalline lens of the eye or in its envelope. The subject of the medicinal treatment of cataracts has occupied the authors mind at odd intervals for several years. Dr Burnett wrote this small volume only when he was satisfied with the curability of cataracts with medicines through his vast clinical experience and consequently laid an array of results that were likely to convince the ophthalmic surgeon. This book covers all the aspects of cataracts and is a boon in the hands of homeopaths to learn from masters to treat our cases judiciously before sending them for surgical procedures.Key Features:- Dr. Burnett likely discusses different types of cataracts (e.g., age-related, congenital, traumatic) and how they present in patients. From a homeopathic point of view, Burnett may discuss the underlying constitutional weaknesses or imbalances that contribute to the development of cataracts. The book likely provides detailed information on various homeopathic remedies that Burnett found effective in treating cataracts Detailed case studies, remedy selection guidelines, and holistic approach
