Description
Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya, the pioneer of Integral Humanism, was born on September 25, 1916, in Nagla Chandrabhan, a small village in Mathura district. He lost his parents at a very young age and was raised by his maternal uncles. Upadhyaya received his education in Pilani, Agra, and Prayagraj. Even after completing his B.Sc. and B.T., he did not take up a job. He had been an active member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh since his student days. Therefore, immediately after leaving college, he became a propagator for the Sangh. Upon the formation of the All India Jana Sangh in 1951, he was elected its Organization Minister and General Secretary in 1953. He was elected President of the Jana Sangh at the Calicut convention (December 1967). Deendayal Upadhyayas vision was to elevate the lowest rung of society and bring them into the mainstream. Possessing a prodigious intellect, a simple personality, and remarkable leadership qualities, this shining sun of the Indian political horizon dedicated his life to the nation at the age of fifty-two, propagating and encouraging an egalitarian political ideology in India. This inspiring and authentic biography of the ascetic nationalist, Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya.
