Description
In 1913, Gadar was launched as a weekly newspaper in San Francisco, USA. It stated that it was being launched in a native language on foreign soil, but it was the beginning of a war against British rule. The four letters Gadar were written in bold and bold letters, along with the words Enemy of British Rule. Vande Mataram was written to the left and right. Below this was written: Young men of India, prepare quickly with arms. The Ghadar newspaper began publication in Gurmukhi (Punjabi) on November 8, 1913. Starting as a newspaper, Ghadar became a torchbearer of the freedom movement for Punjabi workers and intellectuals. It describes the history of the organizations formed by Punjabi immigrants in various countries around the world and the plight of Punjabi workers in America. It also chronicles the journey of the Komagata Maru, the ship that carried Punjabi workers to Canada, and discusses the Ghadarites return to Punjab. This book contains a historical analysis of the work done by the revolutionaries of the Ghadar Party.
