There is no need to memorize the names of the Arkans and Meters or count the syllables. This grammar was developed by his teacher, the late Pandit Narayan Singh Gaffli, to which Dr. Vijay Mittal has added some essential information.The book has two parts: the first part contains the grammar of the Ghazal genre, and the second part contains a list of commonly used Kaafiyyas.I hope this book will prove useful to all poets and Ghazal writers.
