All these elements are required to structure the electrical substation, including motors, loads, switchgear systems, transformers, and lightning protection systems. The specifics of these elements are covered in the fourth chapter.The fifth chapter describes the operation and construction of the DG system, battery banks and UPS. Automation is the use of machines to manipulate information and system technologies. PLCs have aided in increasing automation productivity. Chapter six describe PLC, SCADA and panel metering. The need of automation in the electrical system is describes in the same chapter.
