A separate Jharkhand state was everyones dream. A blueprint was prepared for what our Jharkhand would be like. But how did it come into being? Who sacrificed their lives for it? How many people, where and where were they killed? Where did they suffer oppression? The purpose of writing this book was to ensure that future generations could know and remember those who sacrificed for Jharkhand.This book is essentially divided into six sections. The first section discusses agitators killed by police firing or by the police. The second section covers incidents where agitators did not die by police firing but were murdered by moneylenders, mafia, or powerful people. The third section includes those non-tribal agitators who played a major role in the Jharkhand movement and who gave it direction. The fourth section is dedicated to women. It discusses the role of women in the Jharkhand movement.The fifth section of the book also includes some of the agitators who died not from police or mafia bullets, but from lack of medical treatment, or who died naturally or in accidents, yet who had a significant contribution to the movement. It also includes those agitators who lost a great deal in the movement. It also includes some agitators who are still alive but played every possible role in the movement.
