Jharkhand, which was carved out of the southern part of the state of Bihar on November 15, 2000, shares its border with Bihar, utter Pradesh, West Bengal, Chandigarh and Odisha. Birsa Munda is regarded as Gods Messenger in the fight of the tribal for natural right over land and the vast forest reserves that characterize the state.
