Kunto

Kunto, Bhisham Sahnis novel, tells the story of a period when it seemed we were standing at a turning point in history, when the twists and turns of life seemed to be moving in a particular direction. Interpersonal relationships, social concerns, and the ups and downs of events present a broad picture of life during that period. Theres Dhanraj and his wife, who returned from abroad after seven years; theres Sahadev. Numerous such characters appear and disappear across the novel, playing their roles and narrating their destinies. And this web of relationships and events unfolds against the backdrop of nationwide waves and movements when our country seemed to be at a turning point in history. But this novel, rather than a historical document of a period, tells the story of human relationships, emotions, the changing environment, and the shifting colors of human destiny.
