In the Ramayana, Lakshmanas character is the most unique, the most extraordinary, and the most distinctive. He is not only Shri Rams younger brother, but also his companion and follower, his soul and conscience, his friend and devotee, his mirror and reflection. In fact, he is his everything.Their lives are bound by an unbreakable bond of love and trust, where there is no room for secrecy, concealment, or separation. It is rare to find a character in world history who completely immersed himself in the service of his elder brother and found the bliss and meaning of his life there.Lakshmana was a great warrior, intelligent, knowledgeable about religion, a philosopher of ethics, a scholar of scriptures, a master of speech, a visionary, a devotee of service, a self-controlled being, a man of renunciation, and virtuous conduct, and was also adept in many arts. He was the embodiment of sacrifice, service, and dedication. This book is primarily based on the Ramcharitmanas, but where necessary, the Valmiki Ramayana has also been consulted. Maharishi Valmiki has vividly described some of Lakshmans qualities, such as service, skill in building a hut, devotion to hard work, and the art of boosting the morale of Shri Ram, who was distressed by the separation from Sita.The saga of Lakshmans glory is divided into seventeen chapters. Each chapter is named after the second half of a particular couplet, and the order of the chapters is determined according to the sequence of the couplets in the Ramcharitmanas.
