Lamentations of a shadow is a journey from being trapped in the dark depths of the mind to finding a way out towards love.There might have been days when you need comfort but instead, all you have is a heavy heart with loneliness crying out for help.Loneliness should be acknowledged because it hurts like sharp icicles piercing your heart.There might have been times when you loathed yourself to the point where you think you cant be redeemed. In those moments all you need is love. You deserve to be loved despite your dark side. Who doesnt have a dark side? We all do. That doesnt mean you are a bad person. We make some mistakes that we can correct while there are some mistakes we can never undo. All we can do is forgive ourselves, learn from them and move on to be a better version of ourselves.Forgive yourself and allow yourself to heal. Acknowledge your bottled-up pain, feel it and let it go. The tighter you hold on the more you will be in pain.Healing is an ongoing process.This book is my attempt to bare my soul. I was never true to myself. Now, I am learning to be true to myself and speak honestly from my heart. I found comfort in writing poetry. I felt heard. Along the way, I learnt how to forgive myself, accept myself and show some love to myself. I wish to do the same for you if you will let me.Come along with me on my journey.
