Description
This book, written by renowned author Wallace Delois Wattles, was published by the Elizabethtown Company in 1910. The book is based on Hindu philosophies such as One is Everything and All is One (first page of the preface). The book is based on what Wattles calls a special way of thinking. This special way of thinking stems from the mental healing movement pioneered by Phineas P. Quimby in the mid-19th century. As Horowitz told a reporter for the Washington Post, when people began experiencing relief from physical pain or illness through Quimbys mental remedies, they began to wonder, If a state of mind can have a positive effect on my physical condition, what other benefits might it have? Can it also make me rich? Can it bring happiness to my home? Can it also fulfill my search for love and romance? One consequence of such questions was Wattless strategy of seeking Quimbian mental treatment for both financial and physical problems.
