Description

After Maharana Kumbha, Maharana Sangram Singh was the most famous Maharana. He expanded the Mewar Empire through his power and united all the kings of Rajputana under his rule. After the death of Rana Raimal, Rana Sanga became the Maharana of Mewar in 1509 and ruled from 1509 to 1528. Rana Sanga was truly a valiant warrior and ruler, renowned for his valor and generosity. He defended his empire from attacks by Delhi, Jujarat, Malwa, and the Mughal emperors. He was the most powerful king of his time. In the Battle of Bayana, before the Battle of Khanwa in February 1527, Rana Sanga defeated the army of Mughal ruler Babur and captured the fort of Bayana. During Rana Sangas reign, Mewar was at the peak of its prosperity. As a pious king, he protected and developed his kingdom. Rana Sanga was so valiant that despite losing an arm, an eye, a leg, and countless wounds, he never lost his valor. Ranaji sustained approximately 80 wounds in the Battle of Khanwa. It is said that Sanga fought 100 battles. On January 30, 1528, Rana Sanga was poisoned to death by his own chieftain. This inspiring biography celebrates the glorious life of Maharana Sanga.
