Description

Dwivedi Ji first studied economics in depth in his literary career and painstakingly wrote a book called Sampatti Shastra. This enabled Dwivedi Ji to write commentaries on many topics that transcend the boundaries of pure literature. He also studied political issues and wrote articles on global political events. Along with politics and economics, he gained familiarity with modern science and deeply studied history and sociology. He also paid attention to ancient Indian philosophy and science, attempting to understand where we had progressed and where we had lagged behind in our thinking. Consequently, he proved to be the most suitable person to spread new social consciousness in the Hindi region. His work can only be evaluated within the context of the broader Hindi Renaissance. This timeless book, written by Dr. Ram Vilas Sharma, has five parts. The first part presents an analysis of what Dwivedi Ji and the authors of Saraswati have said regarding India and imperialism. The second part discusses the struggle against conservatism, the spread of scientific consciousness, and the evaluation of ancient philosophical thought. The third part examines Dwivedis writings on the language problem. The fourth part introduces literary criticism. The fifth part points out some of the characteristics of Dwivedis era literature. Many of the problems that existed during Dwivedis time still exist today. Therefore, the books relevance and usefulness remain intact even in todays context.
