Swami Vivekananda, the pinnacle of Indian spiritual consciousness, was a man of extraordinary intellect. He said that poverty is the root of all evils. Swamiji was moved by the suffering of the poor and distressed by the injustice done to the downtrodden. He was a staunch opponent of casteism and considered it a grave blot on social life. Swamiji believed that every nation should respect its women. He believed that if religion were instilled in the common people of India, we would easily be freed from even minor problems. Swamiji was a man of religion and a vigilant guardian of Indian culture. He was a staunch nationalist, but his nationalism fostered humanity. By addressing religion and culture, Swamiji introduced a slumbering India to its glorious past. He spread the message of ancient self-knowledge from the Vedas and Upanishads to Western countries. The thoughts of Swami Vivekananda, a unique propagator of Vedanta, a distinguished exponent of Indian culture, a great nurturer of humanity, and a visionary thinker, will serve as a guide for the future generation of young people.
