Description

My Easy Lies isnt just a collection of poems, but a bundle of emotions, pieced together over the past few years. It contains poems he wrote between 2018 and 2023sometimes in seminar halls, sometimes on flights, sometimes waking up at night, sometimes in leisure moments, sometimes over tea. These are moments from his life that he has liberated by transcribing them on paper. Some poems grapple with the poets struggle for existence, including Im Lost, Black Pepper, Upside Down, My Easy Lies, Who Am I, Im Silent, and others. Other poems are filled with introspection, such as Why Dont I Write Stories, Half-Unfinished, Shadows of Bars, and so on. Some poems are his reactions to todays physical, social, and political landscape, such as Bandha Hua Cities, Visa to Prayers, Wolves, No One Has Married Today, and more. Some poems are about love and romance, some are his own stories born out of the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and some poems are even spiritual. In essence, this is Prof. Dwarika Uniyals life, a few pages of his thoughts, his thinking, and his persistence. These are some of his letters to the reader, the envelopes of which he has not sealed.
