About the Book: This book is designed to cater the students opting for either Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Pesticide Chemistry as the Skill-Enhancement Course, and includes the following topics: drug discovery, design and development; multiple synthesis of each of the fourteen representative drugs from various classes along with their retrosynthetic analyses; fermentation process basics and commercial production of eleven chemicals including drugs, vitamins, amino acids, ethanol and citric acid; chemistry of nine common pesticides across five sub-classes and their production methods; and details of the experiments relating to the hands-on practical for these SEC courses.
