Description

Raghuvir Sahays works are a living document of the pulse of modern times. Therefore, his six-volume collection of works perfectly defines the present. Due to his unparalleled creativity, Raghuvir Sahay is among those timeless writers whose relevance only grows with the passage of time. This first volume, titled From the Same People, contains Raghuvir Sahays complete poems, both published and unpublished, from 1946 to 1990. The collections of poems included in this volume include: Seedhiyon Par Dhoop Mein (1960), Against Suicide (1967), Laugh, Laugh Quickly, Laughter (1975), Log Bhool Gaye Hain (1982), Kuch Pate Kuch Chitthiyan (1989), and Ek Samay Tha (1995). In addition to these collections, this volume also includes some new, unpublished poems discovered later. The appendix to the collection, titled Yeh Duniya Bahut Badi Hai, Jeevan Lamba Hai, contains hundreds of Raghuveer Sahays early poems. Raghuveer Sahay compiled a collection of his early poems during his lifetime, but it remained unpublished until now. This material is crucial for understanding the poets poetic development. The appendix also provides a year-by-year outline of Raghuveer Sahays life and a family tree spanning hundreds of years. With his innovative themes and craft, Raghuveer Sahay has given Hindi poetry a new form. You can easily recognize this new form in the poems in this section.
