Description

Akhilesh Yadavs life is a long saga of struggle. He entered politics due to circumstances. Mulayam Singh Yadav launched him on the difficult political path of socialism in 2000. At that time, circumstances were such that Akhilesh Yadav, despite his reluctance, had to heed his fathers advice and enter politics. Akhilesh, who dreamed of becoming a technocrat, spent nearly a decade fighting for the youth against the government and the system, from Parliament to the streets. Thanks to his long, militant struggle, he emerged as a ray of hope among the youth. When the name Akhilesh Yadav ignited hope among the youth, they entrusted the reins of the state to this 38-year-old leader. Akhilesh Yadav put Dr. Lohias vision into practice in the worlds most populous state. He presented a socialist development agenda that included a plan for the progress of every section of society. Through a successful socialist model of developmental politics, he successfully attempted to ensure that resources reach the marginalized in a state with a population of 200 million. Akhilesh reimagined socialist politics and reinstated a socialist movement that had been deemed irrelevant in the current era. The struggle and journey of this shining star in the socialist sky have not yet been academically illuminated. This book attempts to fill this gap.
