Sansad Mein Nitin Gadkari (20172019)

I was first elected to the Lok Sabha from Nagpur in 2014. Prior to this, I served as a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Council for 20 consecutive years, from 1989 to 1999. I also served as Minister of Public Works in the Maharashtra Government from 1995 to 1999. I had a long experience working in the legislature and administration. As a Lok Sabha member and as a Union Minister, I have strived to contribute my fullest to parliamentary work. Over the past five years, I introduced several important bills in Parliament. Several important bills were also passed. During Question Hour in both Houses, I have attempted to resolve issues raised by members of various political parties. With this approach, I took the regional problems of MPs from all parties seriously and tried to resolve them. During this five-year period, I also held the responsibility of the Namami Ganga, Water Resources, and Rural Development ministries for short periods. My effort was to ensure that every member was informed of the functioning of all these ministries. This book is a compilation of my efforts in Parliament. The compilation has been done in two parts. The first volume, covering the years 2014 to 2016, has already been published. This volume details parliamentary work from 2017 to 2019. I believe this compilation will continue to inspire me in the future. My heartfelt congratulations to the editor and publisher for this endeavor. This is a compilation of the parliamentary work of Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkariji. In the last five years, many important works have been accomplished in the ministries of Road Transport, Shipping, Water Resources, and Namami Ganga. His working style has demonstrated remarkable examples of creative thinking and innovative technological innovation, which I felt were essential to preserve. In the past five years, the country has seen the realization of the vision of expressways and waterways. This compilation has been created with the aim that these facts will serve as a powerful testimony to the ongoing efforts made under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi towards building a capable and prosperous India. Several bills related to road transport and water transport have been introduced in Parliament. These initiatives, along with development and employment, also included a humanitarian aspect. For example, the objective behind introducing the Motor Vehicles Act (Amendment) Bill was to reduce the more than five lakh road accidents that occur annually in the country; the implementation of the waterway from Varanasi to Haldia (Kolkata). Between 2014 and 2019, Mr. Gadkari made every effort to fulfill his promises in Parliament. His tireless efforts to purify the Ganga water before Kumbh 2019 proved fruitful. The mission under which Gadkariji has implemented his vision of national development in the last five years will be a milestone for the countrys progress. Rakesh Shukla.
