Shrihari Naam Mahima

I have known the learned Dr. Vidyavindu Singh for years through her excellent literary works. She has written extensively on various genres of Hindi literature. Her work on folk literature and culture, in particular, is commendable and noteworthy. The book Shri Harinam Mahima is an attempt to examine Indian religious philosophy through the eyes of the people. I pray to God that this light of the people reaches the readers through this work. Born and raised in a village, and even as she grew up in an urban environment, she remained conscious of the artistic expressions of rural folk life. Her role in bringing the folklore of Awadh to the attention of urban society will be remembered. What we call folk life is a cosmic life, whose horizons are multifaceted. The world extends from the world to the afterlife, from materialism to spirituality. It is said that India needs to be understood not just from a material perspective but from a spiritual perspective, because its spirituality and materiality are neither rooted in rituals nor in politics. Now, if someone wishes to interpret it, that too is acceptable, but it is not necessary for the public to approve it. We wish that this work can convey this innate feeling of the people to readers.
