Sane Guruji launched the magazine Sadhana on August 15, 1948. On the magazines golden jubilee (May 1, 1998), Dr. Narendra Dabholkar and Jaydev Dole were appointed editors. Six months later, Jaydev Dole resigned. Dr. Dabholkar then served as editor for 15 years (until August 20, 2013). During this period of nearly a decade and a half, he wrote over two hundred editorials. This book, published in Marathi under the title Samta Sangar, contains a selection of 60 of these articles. At the time of Dr. Dabholkars appointment as editor of Sadhana, he was known as the initiator of the state-level movement for the Antishvishvad Nirmulan Samiti. He was well-known throughout Maharashtra. His writings on topics such as the eradication of superstition, scientific outlook, and casteism were highly influential. His books on these subjects also became very popular. His editorials, collected here, are highly praised for their frank statements, direct questions, and satire. But like his other writings, these articles also focus on social change.
