Description

Short stories in Telugu literature began in the latter half of the 16th century. However, the first original Telugu story was written by the great Andhra poet Sri Gurjad Apparao in 1610. Apparao initiated the short story in Telugu literature. His stories are dominated by satire. While many story writers have depicted rural life, the depiction found in Sri Kavikondal Venkateswara Raos stories is unmatched elsewhere. The advent of Chalam in Telugu short stories has revolutionized both language and emotion. Chalam has raised the banner of rebellion in all areas. Although Sri Sukharam Pratap Reddy wrote very few stories, he holds a high place in short stories. It would not be an exaggeration to call him the Guleri of Telugu short stories. Telugu stories lacked humor, a need that was addressed by Sri Munimaniam Narasimha Rao. People consider the world to be full of sorrow, but Narasimha Rao considered it to be full of joy and proved it through his works. Some people consider him to be the Comedy Chakravarti. Most of his stories are about family problems. In Telugu literature, Shri Adavi Bapiraju is famous for his emotional and historical love stories. The descriptions of music, painting and acting in his stories are noteworthy. A collection of popular stories by the best storytellers of the Telugu language.
