As The Se Etary General Of Elcoma (An Association Of Lighting Manufacturers Of India) For The Last 18 Years, He Has Been Instrumental In Introducing Energy Efficiency In The Indian Lighting Industry And In 2021, He Was Accorded First Global Award For Industry Development Outstanding Contribution (Idoc) To Add To Numerous Other Indian And International Awards And Accolades. He Created The Blueprint For Vision 2020, A National Level Program Adopted By The Ministry Of Power, Under Which Energy Consumption In Lighting Was Brought Down From 18% To 13% By Year 2020. He Is Also Part Of Several Global And Indian Lighting, Electronics And Electrical Associations As Well As Numerous Government Panels, Think Tanks And Committees As A Subject Matter Expert And Thought Leader. Prior To This He Has Worked With Philips India Limited For Over Three Decades In Various Capacities And Job Profiles. He Has Travelled All Over The World As An Ambassador For The Indian Lighting Industry And Has Introduced Many New Lighting Technologies To India. Always Creative, Shyam Has Written Several Short Stories And Has Also Been Painting As A Hobby Since Childhood. He Recently Displayed His LifeS Art Through Several Exhibitions Of His Paintings.
