I wanted to run away from the man who wrote. After much thought, one day I said goodbye to the man whose voice kept me from remaining empty in the void. I stopped writing. I didnt write anything for almost three years. During these travels, that man would sometimes come and sit next to me. I would ignore him and walk away. Sometimes, on long journeys, I could hear his voice, but I was adamant that I wanted to stay away from this lie. Meanwhile, I constantly had my phone with me, so I kept taking pictures during my travels. Then, like a child, looking around to see if that man was nearby, I would open my phones notes and record whatever I was feeling at that moment, whatever I could even touch. I would post these documents on Instagram along with the photos I took at that time, as if I had left a message in space. Perhaps I had been searching for this kind of writing for a long time, which is neither poetry nor story, but simply a picture of the intensity of time in which a kite flies without a string.
This book contains travels, the free solitude of creating plays, stories, silent conversations, Instagram writing, and various stages of writing. There was a kind of dam, whose water had been accumulating for years. In this book, I have broken that dam. ---- Manav Kaul
