Faiz Ahmed Faiz is considered one of the worlds most renowned poets. He was a man of peace and progressive views. After Partition, Faiz began raising his voice against the Pakistani government. In 1951, he launched a movement against the government of Liaquat Ali Khan. He was imprisoned from 1951 to 1955 for conspiring to overthrow Liaquat Ali Khan. While imprisoned by the Pakistani government, Faiz continued to write both romantic and revolutionary poetry from there. Subsequently, his writing was banned from prison. His poetry, written in prison, later became very famous, published under the titles Dast-e-Saba and Zindanama. In 1962, Faiz served on the Lahore Council in Pakistan. In 1963, he was awarded the Lenin Peace Prize by the Soviet Union (Russia). If the destination is not in sight then the search is fine, if the union is not attainable then the wish is fine.
