Vanya refers to rivers that flow through the forest. These rivers flow freely. No matter how many obstacles they face, they fall asleep, then awaken and flow again. The stories in this collection are about tribal women like Vanya. These stories of tribal identities are not stories of tribal discourse in any conventional sense, but rather a window that gives you the opportunity to peek into their literature. While writing them, I realized that you cant simply tell the stories of tribal life.
