Description
Bahadur Shah Zafars poetry is imbued with a unique sense of anguish. This grief is even more pronounced in his poetry after the rebellion and his subsequent exile to Rangoon. Zafar was a poet and a prolific poet. During his time, mushairas were held at the Red Fort, in which he participated. He became a disciple of Ustad Zauq, but he also learned much from the company of renowned poets of his time, such as Ghalib and Memin, which can only be understood by delving into their art. The depth of his poetry ensures that his name will always be remembered as a shining star of Urdu literature. O love, will you be valued after me, when there is no one to ask you after me I am content with the salt of my heart on earth, but who will taste the joy of love after me, do not waste my dust from the doors of my beloved, look, do not go there breeze of breeze after me, if the salty desert of passion remains strong like this, no one will come to feed you after me, you are here till my breath, O sick heart, no one can treat you, your medicine after me, that tormentor killed me for the crime of disloyalty, no one will take the name of disloyalty after me, O Zafar, why should love not feel your sorrow, there was no one to grieve the sorrow of love after me
