Atma Parichaya

The man who was sent to the village of Aurahi-Hingna specially on the demand of the land later came to be known as Phanishwarnath Renu, whom he himself has mentioned here and there with his pen. This book, compiled and edited by Bharat Yaayar, brings together Renus works in which he wrote about his life and writing. The entire book is organized into four sections: autobiography, autobiography, autobiography, and personal essay. Through these works, we become acquainted with the authors life and lifestyle, his environment and creative scope, and his broad and deep concern for society. As a conscious writer, he sometimes contemplates the delicate relationship between writing and politics, sometimes faces criticism regarding the contemporary background of his works, sometimes exposes the literary politics of being labeled a regional writer, and sometimes appears uneasy about the damage caused by fatwas like After Premchand. But even while writing all this, he never becomes overly personal; the distinctive qualities of his creativity remain intact, and his language and craft remain present throughout. This book gives us an opportunity to understand Renu within the context of his larger time.
