Description

Jim Corbett was born on July 25, 1875, in Nainital. He is known in Britain as a hunter, naturalist, writer, and conservationist; but in India, he is best known for hunting man-eating tigers and leopards. By the age of 18, Jim left his studies and took a job as a fuel inspector at Mokama Ghat in Bihar, on the Bengal and North-Western Railway.Corbett was promoted to colonel in the British Indian Army. At that time, villages in the Kumaon and Garhwal regions were terrorized by man-eating tigers and leopards. Jim Corbett freed the people from these terrors by eliminating 33 tigers and leopards in these areas. Jim had a deep passion for tigers and their prey. In his books, he provided extensive information about tiger and leopard families, their behavior, their daily routines, and their behavior. A highly readable book that reveals the unknown world and unknown facts of the jungle through the biography of Colonel Jim Corbett and arouses a natural curiosity.
