From the Author While the plot of Cutting the Rope is primarily from the imagination (including brainstorming sessions with buddies), the book grew from and reflects my interests, experiences, and friends. Those who know me say, Yep, that book is totally Jerry.This debut novel became a playground for me. As I learned the craft of writing from books, writing courses, and professional critique, I had fun trying out newlyacquired techniques in this project.I may one day write a sequel. About the Author Jerry Uhlig grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, ventured to Missouri to graduate from Ozark Christian College, and settled in Alaska. He hunts bear, dipnets salmon, and fishes for trout. Currently a fulltime volunteer under Youth With A Mission (YWAM), Jerry has also worked as a teen counselor and a high school football coach. He resides in Homer, Alaska with his wife, daughter, and two sons. He camps out in the yard when he cant get into the wilderness for adventure. Jerry secretly hopes to build a log cabin some day.
