There are two words for daily living in English: diary and journal. A diary is something that is written daily, and in which even extremely personal matters can be written. The diaries of many great men have been published, from which matters of shame or scandal have been removed. However, a journal does not necessarily require daily writing. Personal matters can be written in a journal. But the journals I have seen do not contain very personal matters. They contain thoughts, feelings, and sometimes even notes or short articles. The diary I am publishing is a blend of both diary and journal.
