While perusing the manuscript of this book by Darniya Champa Bhatia, I felt that it was the natural essence of a simple, spiritual mind. There was no artificiality or fabrication. Champaji has presented exactly what she heard, understood, and absorbed at spiritual and religious gatherings. There is no attempt to display her erudition in this book. Champa Bhatia is not a scholar; she is a homemaker. She also manages her business to support her family. Taking time from this, she has studied and meditated on the verses of the Gita and attempted to explain the philosophy in a language understandable to the common man. While explaining various verses in this book, the principles of Sattvic, Rajoguni, and Tamoguni actions are discussed, but the concept of selfless action (that is, not being bound by the consequences of ones actions) is depicted with utmost detail. This book attempts to reaffirm that knowledge is the unity of the knower and the known. Three fundamental conditions for knowing God are outlined in this bookdesire (curiosity), faith, and surrender. It is certain that its study will provide insight for those seeking to understand God. In other words, it is hoped that this book will serve as a guide for those seeking the philosophy of the Gita and those seeking its offerings.
