Khayalon ke Qaafile 1 / 1 : Ghazalen aur Geetikayen

This book is a collection of Hindi, Urdu and Hindustani Ghazals in simple language. It carries the poems carrying different moods of a human being in different circumstances. The beauty of the Ghazal writing is that, in one poem itself, one sher (verse) carries a happy or romantic mood whilst the others may highlight sad, philosophical or aggressive temperament. The only condition that applies here is that, every thought should be compressble into these two line or in other words, every two liner verse here is an independent mini poem arranged into a bigger composition like the garlands with different fragrances. In a way, it is the status of our mind which is happy or elated, remorseful or curious or romantic in day to day life. Although this ghazal writing style has come into vogue almost 500 years back, but till now, it is close to the hearts of literature and music loving young and old alike! Great singers and composers like Jagjit singhji or Ghulam ali sahab have contributed a deal. Having read more than 5000 ghazals penned from the era of Meer, Mirza Ghalib till the the time of Nida Fazli sahab, and luckily having a reasonably good knowledge of Hindi and Urdu both, I have started writing in my own way, but with full seriousness and justice to the words and thoughts.
