She has published numerous books on diverse topics such as stories, novels, poems, essays, and womens issues. For her fiction, she was awarded the Ila Triveni Samman in 2013, the Bharatendu Harishchandra Samman, and the Bihar Gaurav Samman 2015. Before becoming a freelance writer, she served as an assistant editor at Outlook magazine and an editor at Bindiya magazine.
