Swami Dayanand Saraswatis real name was Moolshankar. He was born into a cultured family with religious views. In 1846, at the age of only 22, he renounced his home and family. He then embraced renunciation and received education under the tutelage of Swami Virjanand.Swami Dayanand Saraswati made serious efforts to eradicate many of the evils prevalent in Hinduism. He was a strong supporter of monotheism and actively promoted it. The Vedas were his inspiration. He made people aware of the importance of the Vedas and encouraged them to return to the study and contemplation of the Vedas. He proved that the Puranas are not divinely ordained texts, but are the Vedas. He also proved that religious scriptures like the Upanishads and Puranas, while given by sages, are dependent on the Vedas and are valid only as long as they conform to the Vedas.The precious words of such a protector of religion, the holy saint Swami Dayanand Saraswati, are presented in this compilation, which will give the reader a deep understanding of religion, philosophy, spirituality, karma and human values.
