Hindi is a powerful language. Its literature is rich and is becoming even richer, but the standard form of the Hindi language has not yet been established. This is why non-standard usage is often found in magazines, books, speeches, and conversations, in all areas of pronunciation, spelling, writing, structure, sentence construction, and meaning. This book has been written with the aim of comprehensively considering this problem. Initially, the standard language and its variants have been considered so that standard Hindi can be understood in its proper perspective. The standardness and non-standardness of a language is largely linked to its dialects, hence the regions of Hindi and its dialects have been considered. Then, giving the history of Hindi standardization, the Nagari script and numerals in Hindi, Hindi numerals, Hindi pronunciation, Hindi nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, and adverbial forms, Hindi sentence structure, Hindi words and their meanings, Hindi usages and styles, etc. are considered from the perspective of standardization. Finally, the appendix contains some examples of standard and non-standard usage. Thus, the present book sheds light on the standard form of the Hindi language in the required detail. This book is readable and collectible for all sections of people interested in Hindi language and linguistics, including writers, editors, readers, and students.
