Description

The wound of insult is a wound that doesnt take life, but leaves the body lifeless. Nardurg is the story of one such insulted king whose vengeance for the insult leads to the destruction of his entire fort. A life of slavery is a hellish existence. Nardurg is the story of the struggle to overcome it. This novel is also significant in this series of novels because it depicts war strategy in detail. Forts, large and small, were constantly in conflict. The defense of the fort and the expansion of its boundaries were paramount. Various ramparts were built to protect the forts. A deep moat was dug around the fort, filled with water, and gharials, crocodiles, and other venomous animals were released. The walls were constantly guarded. This is the story of one such fort, which, in keeping with its promise, risks its own forts future to restore the lost existence of its friend, Jaldurg, from Giridurg. The unique metaphor of friendship is elaborately illustrated for readers, revealing the mysterious tales of forts. Chandrabhan Rahi is a master of storytelling. Reading this book feels like someone is narrating a story, one thing leading to another. He goes into such detail that the reader is astounded. Through his characterizations, costumes, and dialogue, he transports the story to a specific period.
