The authors feel great pleasure in presenting the first edition of the book SOCIAL PHARMACY for D.Pharm students as per syllabus of PCI-ER. This book provides systematic and comprehensive coverage of the theory as well as its application thereof in the field of Social Pharmacy. Every chapter gives theory and practical component to social pharmacy. The systematic structure of the book is assigned to cover the major syllabi of Social pharmacy and includes all topics of syllabus proposed by PCI ER. Besides introduction and role of pharmacist in preventive healthcare, there is inclusion of topics like National Health Programmes and Pharmacoeconomics in the new curriculum. Wherever applicable, the role and statements of Federation of International Pharmaceutique (FIP) i.e. International Pharmaceutical Federation have been included in the text.
