The Scarlet Plague is a dystopian novella set in future, year 2073 which shows the world gripped with an apocalyptic pandemic. The uncontrollable plague wiped out most of the worlds population.The protagonist wanders the depopulated land with his three grandsons who are hunter-gatherers. He contemplates memories of the fertile, cultural, education, and normal world against the tormenting memories of the beginning of the plague spreading fear, causing sudden deaths, fires, fighting and looting. As he conveys the story of the life before the pandemic, the children find it hard to believe him.
